The challenge
Existing washrooms at a south London school had deteriorated and the enclosed layout was contributing to poor upkeep and anti-social behaviour.
Design approach
The refurbishment created more open communal toilet areas, with robust materials and a layout intended to improve visibility, usability and maintenance.
Delivery
Works included solid-grade laminate cubicles and duct panels, robust stainless-steel washtroughs and alterations to supply and drainage pipework, delivered during non-term time.
