Help for Schools is a trading name of Brown Consult Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14117138). Our registered office is The Old Police Station, West Square, Maldon, Essex, CM9 5AL, and our trading address is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. What we collect and why
When you contact us by phone, email or the enquiry form, we hold the details you give us: typically your name, your school, trust or organisation, your email address, a telephone number if you provide one, and what you have told us about the estate or project. We use this to reply to you, to arrange and carry out any work you ask us to do, and to keep a record of our dealings with you. Our lawful basis is that this is necessary for the steps you have asked us to take before entering into a contract, and for our legitimate interest in running the business and responding to enquiries.
If you become a client, we hold the information needed to deliver the work and to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.
The enquiry form
When you send the form on our contact page, what you typed is passed to Web3Forms, a form-handling service, which emails it to us at info@helpforschools.org.uk. Web3Forms keeps a copy of submissions for up to 30 days and does not use it for anything else. Nothing is stored on this website itself.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from the site itself. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address of visitors, for security and to keep the service running; we do not use these to identify individuals.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the suppliers who help us run the business, such as our email and document providers (Microsoft 365), website hosting, the service that delivers messages from our contact form (Web3Forms), and only so far as needed to provide those services. We may also share it where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Client records are kept for six years after the work ends, in line with our accounting and professional obligations, and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email info@helpforschools.org.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use personal information we will update this page and the date at the top.
