Reason for the project
The school wanted a modern and vibrant sixth-form environment with separate zones for relaxation, collaborative study and quiet individual work.
Design objective
The space needed to be attractive and hard-wearing, support up to around 150 students and help prepare them for more independent patterns of study.
Design process
Help for Schools worked with school leadership to select products and finishes, supported by 3D visualisation so the proposed result could be reviewed before installation.
Outcome
The completed environment combined soft seating, study areas, coordinated fabrics and a more sophisticated sixth-form identity.
