The brief
The main school building was full, and the sixth form needed a space of its own. The answer was a large shower block in a separate building on the sports ground site, which we converted into a 95m² reading room.
What we did
The existing services were relocated to clear the space. New walls, suspended ceilings, lighting and data were then installed before the room was decorated and carpeted.
We managed the project and the contract administration, appointing the contractors and supervising their work on site.
The result
Sixth-formers now have a bright, self-contained room of their own, away from the main building.
